Throughout its lifetime, an aircraft is expected to undergo numerous modifications to its cabin interior and avionics systems.  For both owned and leased aircraft, modifications designed in accordance with EASA or FAA approvals are widely accepted as the common standard as aircraft owners can easily position their assets for sale or lease to operators in different regulatory environment where EASA and FAA approvals are easily accepted.  This however poses challenge to those who do not understand the EASA and FAA modification process well and consequently, unnecessary time and money could be wasted during the lease return or asset sale.  This presentation will provide an overview of the EASA modification process and how fleet owners and operators can avoid the common pitfalls.
